I love these pictures...every time I see Mackenzie wearing pigtails, dog-ears or braids, my memories of you as a small child are almost immediate! I'm sure Mama enjoyed her time with all of you on Sunday and that she also noticed the many resemblances between the two of you. After becoming a grandparent myself, I have learned just how comforting it can be to watch the many ways your grandchildren grow to be more and more like their parents, and even other family members!
I only wish that Grandma Dorothy could be well enough to enjoy getting to know all of her great-grandchildren, there was a time when she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her many grandchildren, as I'm sure you remember. She never missed a birthday, always baking beautiful birthday cakes for each family member on their special day!
I am so glad that you felt well enough to visit them, before the doctor stops you from traveling. I am looking forward to the time when you can introduce Grandma Louceil and Grandma Dorothy to our newest little one, Mackayla, in fact, I'm anxious to meet her, myself!
